Beware of thieves
Paradoxically to steal a subject's money, it is crucial to call HIM the thief if he does not hand over his money to you. Since you will not be able to point at someone concrete from who the subject supposedly stole, you call in the help of the invisible concept. It is important that this can not be objectively verified.
The concept the subject stole from is society. The social contract theory states that the subject is bound by an invisible contract by the act of being born in a certain territory. On the other side of the contract, you guessed it, is us. This seems as absurd as being bound by an invisible contract to the extortion racked of the mafia, because you are born in the Bronx, but it can be made more believable with flags, anthems, public education and sports.
This invisible fence can in it's full glory make subjects say to their fellow tax slaves:'well if you do not like it here, you should leave'. If you achieved this, the tax slaves in a way have become their own prison guards and it further lowers The Maintenance Costs of Control (TMCC)
What also works nicely is to say:"In order for us to protect your property against theft, we unfortunately have to steal from you to finance the protection" This seems like it would never fly, but given the right preparation it works excellent.
